I tried so hard to like and get through this book

I don't know what it is. I tried so hard to like and get through this book. I first ordered it for my kindle to read on a long flight, and I just couldn't get through it. I wanted to like this book so badly that I then ordered the audible version. It was the same thing I could not get through it. I love Tina Fey and wish I could have enjoyed this book as much as I love her other work.

Don't waste your time and money on this book!

I love Tina Fey on TV and in movie roles. BUT this book is such a disappointment. It is written in the voice and style of a teen's diary, but without any humor. I was looking forward to clever wit and all I got was bored. Could not even force myself to waste time finishing it.

Prepare to laugh out loud!

I just finished reading Bossy Pants and I really enjoyed it. This book gives you an insight into Tina Fey’s personal life beginning with her childhood. Every chapter has a new story that will surely make you laugh. She fills the pages with advice and there are plenty of jokes throughout. You can tell Tina put a lot of thought into the content and her humor is definitely present. My favorite parts were of her “awkward” childhood years and learning about how things work at SNL. I hope she writes more books because it was one of my favorite comedies. The only part I did not really care for were the chapters covering 30 Rock. I never really go into that show so I skipped over those parts. I did not care to read the scripts from the show in her book. Other than that, this book was terrific!

Logans piping tutor

This is an older traditional tutor. While all of the basics are in there, it is best used with the guidance of an instructor who is familiar with its old school directions. Visuals and directions can seem a bit cryptic and better suited to an adult rather than a young student. I now appreciate traditional spellings and the introduction to Ceol Mor, the older style of music for pipes.

The tunes are well known and loved.

It must be okay b'cause I learned using it darnit!

A classic!

Logan's Tutor is a real classic. It's the book that I used learning the bagpipes over 30 years ago, and it (along with a couple of incredibly good teachers, a supportive mom, and a lot of dogged determination) took me to a 5-state championship. My copy is in tatters from being dragged around for more than three decades, so I retired it with honor and treated myself to a new one for the new year, and a new class of students.

I use it, along with the College of Piping Tutor by Seumas McNeil (with whom I was fortunate enough to study for many summers), for my piping students. Logan's gets you through all the basics -- it was THE book of the last several generations of great pipers. Seumas' book acknowledges the short attention span and lack of patience that has become more and more a function of learning (and just about everything else!) over the last few decades and allows a student to play a tune within two or three lessons. Students get bored, frustrated, or someone says, "Gee, you've been taking lesssons for a month and all you can play is scales?!? When are you going to learn to PLAY something?!?" The College of Piping Tutor gets the student (and the teacher!) around that poor logic while Logan's is used to provide the real basics so necessary to excellence in piping.

Good technical book

This is an great book for someone getting taught by a piping tutor. Not very easy if you are trying to learn by yourself. It is very good at giving you the technical exercises and note groupings required to become a proficient piper. The selection of tunes in this book are very traditional. I have used this book to teach for more than 35 years.

I haven't forgotten any of the filthy fantasies she told me about, and I never deleted our dirty messages. And if she thinks that I'm going to act like a "professional" and pretend like that shit never happened, she has another thing coming ...

OMG!!!!!! OK first off, the author says there is no plot, oh but I beg to differ. lol

Dr Ashton, is frustrated with his staff, he is tired of being used by the patients and tied of seeing pussy. (Well at least the patients). ;)

He has a pin pal JerseyGirl7. And they both have an appetite. Natalie wants to fulfill her fantasies, the Doctor wants to fulfill his fantasies, and that is to fulfill Natalie's.

I thought it raunchy, enticing, funny, laugh out loud funny, and hotter than hell.
If you like quick reads then this is for you. I will say that it is a little longer than a quick read, and I loved every second.

Whitney is a awesome author and I have read all of her books. She is precise, witty, and puts a lot of spice in her stories, long, short you name it it is.

Not my favorite

Usually love this author ( enough to buy this book without even reading the book's description or feedback comments) but this one was the only one of her books I just could not get into. It took me three days to finish because I would get to a section where a clinical psychologist was performing pap smears or pelvic exams and just lose my interest! A medical resident would not be able to complete residency in a private practice. And if she too is a psychologist ( in training) she would not be able to cover the morning hours for a gynecologist. I am not a stickler for detail but not sure why this bugged me so much enough to take away from the book.

First of all, I want to say that this is a novella. A short Story.

The story is short, funny and certainly pretty hot. The attraction that have the characters is those instalove that give you butterflies in the stomach. The chemistry between them was so intense to be ignored.

This book is to relax and enjoy.
And certainly enjoy it.
I enjoy laughing out loud
I enjoy writing.
I enjoy is an easy read.
I enjoy having devoured the book in two hours.

About the Author

David K. Irving is an Associate Professor of the Undergraduate Film and Television Department at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts. He has directed six feature films, fifteen award-winning short documentaries, three short narrative films, and has written and produced three feature films.

Peter Rea is an Associate Professor of the Undergraduate Film and Television Department at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts. He has been a producer, cinematographer, editor, production manager, and postproduction supervisor on numerous short films, TV movies, and features.
